Volunteers to sponsor students from around the world in La Rochelle

Since 2001, the Association for the Development of International Relations with Students of the World (ADRIEM) has aimed to put foreign students in touch with residents of the La Rochelle region.

There are indeed around 2,000 foreign students (¼ of them from Asia) in higher education institutions in La Rochelle.

ADRIEM

Pursues the following objectives:

  • Promoting the reception of foreign students

    in the La Rochelle agglomeration

  • Help them discover French culture

    and encourage them to master the French language

  • Help with administrative

    and banking procedures

  • Facilitate the opening of the people of La Rochelle

    to the cultures of the world (91 nationalities are represented among the students)

  • Maintain relationships with

    international students after their return to their respective countries by creating and animating a network of “ambassadors”
